The Hero Through
All Time*

A writer, a hero through all time,
Your body is long gone from this earthly clime,
Your spirit returned to the realms divine,
But your ink's legacy continues to shine,
Your name, a light throughout history's rhyme.

Your shadow we find in each written page,
We can't be sure if you harbored rage,
For the blood of our nation, spilled in strife's cage,

But what we know is you'll never fade away,
In the books we read, in schools' array,
Your thoughts feared by oppressors' sway,
Your wisdom a gift for our nation's brighter day.
