I know this book had been published a long time ago. Apparently, I just got a chance to read it 2 months ago. Shame on me! I bet everyone knows what this story is all about. Well, for whomever hasn't read it yet, here's a quick review. This story tells about a boy names Santiago, who has a dream, a dream to have find a treasure which located near the pyramid in Egypt. On his journey to Egypt, he meets all kinds of exciting people like kings and alchemists. by the end of the novel, he discovers that "treasure lies where your heart belongs", and that the treasure was the journey itself, the discoveries he made, and the wisdom he acquired. The sense of the adventure is the most thing that I like from this book. I like how Coelho uses dream as the concept of this novel. He uses sign and symbols in this novel. I think that the moral of the story is we should not avoid our destinies, and urges people to follow their dreams. Our mission on Earth is the way to find "God", meaning happiness, fulfillment, and the ultimate purpose of creation. Enjoy!
