Indonesia, as a multicultural country, has diversity that includes various ethnicities, religions, races and cultures. This diversity brings significant challenges and opportunities for social and economic development. Multiculturalism in Indonesia is not only a recognition of differences, but also a foundation for building tolerance and interfaith harmony. However, challenges such as social conflict and racism still exist, as seen in the events of Tragedy 98. To overcome these challenges, multicultural education is an important solution, where understanding and respect for diversity is taught from an early age. Through an inclusive and dialog-based educational approach, it is hoped that Indonesian society can live harmoniously in diversity.
