Cross-posted also in my LJ's... Thought I shared in my Kompasiana blog too. ;) Photo credit: myself (Change the pic from official movie poster biar aman! (+) shame on you 21! You release the movie but you simply ignore the small details. Yeah I know, it' s only an imprint on a ticket, but c'mmon! For the sake of all the handsome boys in the movie, it's Inception without the S!) ;p Just got back from eX last night, watching Inception with a friend. At first I wanted to watch Robert Rodriguez's Predator but then when I saw this one on two theaters, I'm super curious. What makes it interesting are - beside Leonardo DiCaprio - the director (Christopher Nolan - Dark Knight) and other handsome casts (Joseph Gordon-Levit and Cillian Murphy). So, I thought it's going to be good. And how I was
soo soo wrong! The plot is
soo soo unreasonable and it has holes all over the place. It's about a man named Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) who is expert in stealing other man's secret by going through his victim's mind in a dream. The adventure starts when a conglomerate (Ken Watanabe) hire him to implant a new memory to his competitor (Cilian Murphy). The conflict starts when the man himself can't diffrentiate between reality or dream, while executing the assignment. Some critic think this kind of plot is refreshing and new. Well, whatever they say, I still think that refreshing and new idea is definitely NOT entertaining! Though, I agree one thing. The cinematography (the cgi, the color) are amazingly cool! Gosh! I hate this movie a lot, so I don't know if my plot summary above is exactly right. Because all along while watching the movie, my emotion is
soo soo tense,
soo soo angry! I just can't stand it and really want to just leave the theater. I wish there's a wall next to me, so I can bang my head. The movie's definitely
soo soo annoying! And then it just hit me. The recent movies of Leonardo DiCaprio are always absurd, depressing, and dark. Like, hello..... Aviator, Revolutionary Road, and Shutter Island! Why didn't I realize this earlier? Yeah, shoot me! The movie duration is
soo soo long. 2,5 hours (that's nearly two korean romantic movies for me, which is definitely more entertaining! ^^) A girl sitting next to me, asking her boyfriend. "What is this movie all about?" She asked him after around 40 minutes the movie began. I just laughed inside. "Hey, you're not the only who got lost in this one!" People can defend anything about this movie, but I'm
soo soo regretting watching this movie! ;(
(A wasted 50.000rups worth of nothing!)
