This design intends to increase the comfort of the students in carrying out learning and worship activities at the Islamic boarding school, supported by a room that can restore the visual comfort of the students in accordance with a restorative environment approach by applying mood and feelings, in the form of exterior, interior and lighting designs for buildings in Islamic boarding schools .
Restorative environment begins with a discussion of strategies for sustainable architecture. Where an environment that can restore must have a spirit of place. A place must have a "spirit" that can arouse passion for its users. Passion is obtained from several aspects, namely mood and feelings, and material factors.
Restorative Environment can support a well-being life. So it can reduce mental fatigue, increase productivity and help to relieve stress. It aids the human capacity for physical, psychological and social regeneration. The restorative environment can be a natural restoration environment (landscape) or an interior.
As contained in the Qur'an in the letter al-Baqarah verse 25, that the visualization of heaven is that there are rivers of water flowing under the rooms, there are trees and fruits. Of course the scene can fulfill the landscape design in the aspect of restorative environment.
The sound of rushing water under the school building, more specifically under the halaqoh room, intends to build an atmosphere so that it can be more awake to the visualization of heaven that has been depicted in the Koran, so that the ability of students to memorize can be even more encouraged.
