Why Don't Soccer Referee's look at the Replay?

Soccer is what I’d normally call it although association football is its real name. A sport loved by many and participated by almost every country. It’s a simple game where the objective of the game is to kick the ball into the opposing net. Only the goalkeeper is allowed to use his hands, the rest must battle with their feet, passing, shooting and dribbling. It isn’t uncommon for things to get messy especially in high stakes matches where everything and every play matters. Tempers are thrown and dirty tackles are made and there are times when the referee doesn’t make the right call. A big point to mention is the referees aren’t allowed to see the tv’s replays after a foul or goal, occasionally leading to game changing decisions. Should FIFA do something to change this and what’s the meaning behind it all?
