A Poem by Albertus Muda
Translated from Indonesian into English by Leni Marlina
I lean against the stillness of the night,
Longing for Your Light to shatter the darkness,
In the quiet sanctuary of my soul,
I yearn for Your glow to slice through the mist,
To free the wayward spirit trapped within.
You, steadfast as the eternal spring,
Flowing endlessly, whispering in silence,
I drift through the shadows of my tale,
Unaware of Your patient vigil,
Offering a sacred balm to guide me home to dawn.
I have wandered far, lost in the haze,
Ensnared by the twilight of this world,
Yet Your Light beckons softly,
Though I falter in my return,
You never tire of drawing me back into Your embrace.
