Simpang Asia restaurant has a contemporary yet cozy Indonesian-style ambiance. The restaurant is designed as warmth as possible with cool lighting and comfortable seating arrangement. As a result, it simply attracts customers from young to older, Indonesian to Bule (American) crowds. The restaurant is open EVERYDAY from 11AM-MIDNIGHT. Take-out is available and parking is quite convenient at the parking lot just outside of Simpang Asia complex.

Inspired by the combination of traditional “Home Cook” and “Street-Style”, Simpang Asia has great choices of Traditional Indonesian dishes that matters and close to the heart of Indonesians. Simpang “Nasi Bungkus” is to die for. Wrapped with banana leaves rice, handful of steamed rice served w/ chicken curry, beef rendang, Balinese style egg, spiced potato w/ bits of chicken gizzard, and vegetable light curry, this dish is the most popular among new customers especially “bule”. Awarded as “Best Curry Vendor” in 2009, Simpang’s curry dishes like lontong cap gomeh, lontong sayur & laksa, are definitely a must to order. Another exotic dish is Nasi Goreng Babat (beef tripe fried rice), tastes interestingly delicious, slightly sweet yet tasty. Simpang also offers vegetarian dishes to meet the need of people who are, of course, vegetarian. Choices are from Tofu Satay, Tahu & Tempeh, Balado Tofu and Sayur Bungkus (Vegetable Wrap)

Simpang offers a great variety of authentic Indonesian-style beverages. Es Campur which is shaved ice; grass jelly, young coconut meat, red bean, toddy palm, topped w/ syrup and condensed milk is one of customer’s favorite. You will also be amazed by Indonesian street-style drink, Es Soda Gembira (Happy Soda Milk), freshing club soda with condensed milk. FreshAvocado Juice and Durian Juice, with swirl of sweet white and chocolate condensed milk, are other Indonesian street-style drinks. Kopi Tubruk (Indonesian style coffee) is also served here at Simpang.

On the other side of the restaurant is the groceries market. Simpang has immaculate shelves of Indonesian spices, Instant Seasoning (from Rendang, Soto, to Nasi Rames), teh kotak, peanuts, sambal (traditional spicy sauces), dried fruits, kilo bags of fried shallots, cookies, candies, chocolates, kerupuk (crackers), to Indonesian medicines. All of which you may have not known it existed! Simpang also offers huge selection of Japanese candies and chocolates piled neatly almost to the ceiling.
