Abstract : Rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI) technology have raised significant challenges in the context of intellectual property rights (IPR), especially related to the ownership, creation and copyright protection of works produced by AI. Currently, most legal systems, including in Indonesia, consider creators as humans and grant them copyright. However, with AI's ability to produce increasingly complex creative works, the question of who should hold the copyright to such works, as well as how copyright protection can be applied in this context, is becoming increasingly relevant. This article aims to explore the legal dynamics related to copyright ownership of works created by AI, by analyzing existing IPR regulations in Indonesia and several other countries. This research also identifies existing legal gaps and offers several solutions for adjusting copyright regulations to cover works produced by AI.
