An institution has a single leader who can serve as guide in the implementation of education. This research aims to understand the implementation of leadership and it's relationship to the intelligence possessed by a leader within an institution. The research method used is qualitative, with a case study approach employed to collect data through observations and interviews with the principal and staff. The results of the study indicate that in practice, a leader with good intelligence is indeed needed, although there are some issues present. Sometimes, the conditions and busyness can cause a leader to become confused in determining the direction of the institution, making their intelligence the key to effctive leadership.Â
