Skill 9 : Adjective Clause Connectors/Subjects

An adjective clause describes a noun. Because the clause is an adjective, it is positioned directly after the noun that it describes.

CONTOH PERTAMA :

This is the 'house' that I want to buy

S + V = This is

object = house

adjective clause = that I want to buy

CONTOH KEDUA:

The house that I want to buy is quite expensive

S = The house

C + S + V =  that I want to buy

V = is

rumus yang bisa kita lihat pada contoh pertama :

pola : S1 + (C + S2+V2  )+ V1

Example

The job.........started yesterday was rather difficult

(a.) when

(b.) was

(c.) after

(d.) that he

answer : (d.) that he ( S + (C + S + V) + V)
