Karya sastra merupakan refleksi dari kehidupan sosial manusia dari berbagai macam aspek. Walaupun sastra memiliki dunianya sendiri, dia tak pernah lepas dari mengadaptasi hubungan manusia dengan manusia lainnya pun manusia dengan lingkungannya. A work of literature represents the social life of the people and their problems and is concerned with all aspects of human life.  It has a close relationship between the individual and the society in getting along with the situation of their environments. Literary works imitate the facts of human behavior such as conflicts or clashes, feelings, and all the relationships of the society (Wellek Rene, 1977).
