Otters are foreign to the ears of the people. Even if they know, sometimes the person only knows their name but the shape they don't know, or maybe the other way around. This animal is a cute semi-aquatic rodent. In their natural habitat, otters live in lakes, rivers and wetlands. Many people think that these animals are pests that interfere with agriculture or ponds.

The type of otter that is often kept is the small clawed otter. Keeping an otter is less common, but it does make it a pet. There is even a community. One of the leaders of the Indonesian Otter Community, Georgian Marcello said, otters are intelligent animals and can be likened to dogs, where these animals can be trained to do things normally done with dogs, quoted from balipuspanews He also said, if we want to keep otters we have to be prepared to be smelly, extravagance, and noisy. This animal does have an unpleasant smell, but this smell can be reduced by bathing the beaver three times a day and giving it baby powder. For extravagance, beavers are carnivores that like to eat fish, especially catfish. So, it's pretty draining money. And the last one is noisy, beavers really like to seek attention to the owner by making a noisy sound.

Since it turns out that otters can be kept, the benefits that can be obtained are also more the same as keeping dogs or cats. Such as reducing stress levels, being friends when alone, and so on.
