At first when I started researching this pedagogy, I thought I would start again by learning about andragogy. The practice of understanding human behavior and emotions to improve one's own life or that of others. I was surprised to find that the history behind pedagogy is different from the theory that prevails in the classroom. I had never heard of andragogy before I started my research, and when I started reading about pedagogy and andragogy a thought occurred to me. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? A student begins learning from others, or they may begin learning when they are self-directed.
