Morphology is a key branch of linguistics that deals with the internal structure of words and how they are formed. It plays a critical role in understanding language as it explores the building blocks of words---known as morphemes---and how these units combine to convey meaning. For me, as a student of English Literature, studying morphology provides a deeper understanding of how language works, equipping me with the tools to analyze the form and function of words in various contexts.Â
