Long story short, local figures pressed the couple to admit the accusation. It was not clear wether the couple indeed admitting the accusation against them, or be forced to do so. One thing for sure, there was a written proclamation, in which the couple was presumably confess the act of kumpul kebo, and they had to pay the fine.
The neighboring RT told me that in the written proclamation, it was not only the sign of the accused couple, but also of those (local figures) who raided them also presented.
This is what the neighboring RT concerns about. He says that there might be a chance that the accused couple will file a lawsuit against those local figures. That written proclamation, which is filled with the sign of the local figures, is considered as a evidence.
The neighboring RT recalls similar case in Kubang Raya. Even more, it was not only those who raided the accused one, but also the local Kampong Chief who signed the written proclamation for the accused one. Unfortunately, the accused one did not let it loose, and they filed a lawsuit against the accusers for extortion. It was a poor case for the RT in that Kubang Raya case, the local Kampong Chief did not hold the accountability, so it was him (RT) who must be taken into the custody.
An interesting story, of how something that was glorified in the past as the mean for moral enforcement, it might be a boomerang in recent days if the act did not carried out in meticulous way.
The neighboring RT gives me his final words before our parting. He hopes that this overanalyzed mind will not become a reality.Â
