I've seen what you can do, how you made the earth tremble, spinning desperately to reach the sun.
How you blessed the birds to roam the blue sky, and to the fish, you give the blue ocean.
I've seen fire consumed and water nourish.
How life blooms despite entropy's interference, and death but a road home to you.
Dear Lord, a chance to experience your nature you've granted me.
I have met her, your greatest creation.
Within her, I've found love, the very language you speak when you make everything.
So why must you torture me with it?
Dear Lord, do not make me regret paradise, I beg of you.
If all I am is but dirt who touches her eyes, easily swept away by a single blink,
Let me close mine and hear my one last prayer.
Bless her as you have blessed the children of Abraham.
Love her as you have loved the sun.
At last, give me the strength to be grateful that without me, Your love is what she'll be with.
