Indonesia has a lot of traditional dances. It's all spread all over Indonesia. From Sabang to Merauke, each has its own traditional dance. Jaipong Dance is a traditional dance originating in Karawang, West Java. This dance developed in the 1960s. Initially, this dance was known to the community as the Banjet Dance. A dance art show featuring dance movements is accompanied by a musical stream of gamelan instruments. The jaipong dance pattern consists of opening movements, curling, nibbling, and a number of variations of mincid movements. From some of the moves in the art of the touch dance, it can develop a dance that is now known as Jaipong Dance. Jaipong dance also means that women should not always be judged only from the outside, based on the old cultural stereotypes that are inherent in Indonesian society.
