Stephen O’Brien, utusan UNHCR mengingatkan hal itu pada pemerintah Suriah agar mengutamakan dan menjamin keselamatan warga sipil keluar dari zona perang yang telah dikepung total SAA sejak 28 November lalu dan kini menyisakan kawasan seluas 22 - 25 km² untuk FSA di bagian barat Kota Aleppo.
 "For the sake of humanity, we call on, we plead, with the parties, and those with influence, to do everything in their power to protect civilians and enable access to the besieged part of eastern Aleppo before it becomes one giant graveyard," sebut O’Brien seperti dikutip pada sumber di atas.
