Once upon a time, far, far away in the sky, there was a tiny star named Luma. She was the smallest star in her part of the night sky and always felt a little shy. While all the bigger stars sparkled confidently, Luma thought, "What if my light isn't bright enough?"
Every night, the Moon would glide by and smile at the stars. He always whispered, "Shine as you, dear stars. Every sparkle matters." But Luma was still unsure, so she hid behind fluffy clouds most of the time.
One evening, the Moon saw Luma dimly glowing from her hiding place. He gave her a warm smile and said, "Luma, would you like to go on a little adventure tonight? I need help lighting the way for someone special."
Luma blinked with surprise. "Me? But I'm too small," she whispered.
The Moon chuckled softly. "Even the smallest light can guide someone through the darkest night."
Curious and a bit exited, Luma floated beside the Moon. Together, they drifted down towards Earth, where a little boy named Aidan lay awake in his cozy bed. Aidan's room was dark because the storm outside had knocked out the lights, and he felt a bit scared.
Luma peeked through the window and saw Aidan clutching his blanket tightly. She flickered nervously at first, but then the Moon gave her an encouraging nod. So, Luma took a deep breath (as stars do) and begin to shine. Her soft, twinkling glow slipped through the clouds and danced into Aidan's room like tiny sparks of magic.
Aidan's eyes lit up. "A star! A little star is watching over me!" he whispered with a smile. Feeling safe and cozy, he snuggled deeper into his blanket, his fear melting away like morning mist.
Luma felt something new in her heart--something warm and bright. She realized that her light, however small, was enough to make a difference. With a happy twinkle, she whispered goodnight to Aidan and floated back up to the sky beside the Moon.
From that night on, Luma never hid behind the clouds again. She sparked proudly, knowing that every little light has the power to brighten someone's night.Â
And somewhere, down on Earth, a little boy named Aiden dreamed sweet dreams under the comforting glow of his new favorite star.
