This article discusses a comparison between two systems of government, namely authoritarianism
and democracy, which have different approaches to managing the country. Authoritarianism is
known for its quick and centralized decision-making, while democracy emphasizes public
participation and respect for human rights. The research was conducted using the literature study
method to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each system, as well as their impact on
political, economic, and social stability. The conclusion shows that while both systems have
strengths and weaknesses, the blend of the best values of the two can create an effective
government that is oriented to the needs of society.
