JAKARTA - Since 2018, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has intensified the development, maintenance, and supervision of RPTRAs that involve the community. RPTRA is a manifestation of the efforts made by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in providing green open spaces as well as public spaces that are friendly for children. As of 2020, there are 322 RPTRAs that have been built around the DKI Jakarta area.

The funding used in building the RPTRA comes from the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). The development of the RPTRA certainly has many positive impacts. This is because with the built of RPTRA, it also supports the fulfillment of one of the indicators of a Child Friendly City.

The facilities available at RPTRA are carefully thought out designed to provide services for children and residents so that they can become an educational playgrounds. Residents can also use RPTRA as a place to carry out social activities. With the built of RPTRA, it also adds to the green space that can help in water absorption.

Although the construction has been carried out since 2018, the public's enthusiasm for RPTRA has not decreased. Until now, there are still many people who come to RPTRA scattered throughout the city of Jakarta to carry out various activities.

"I like coming here with my little brother because the play facilities for the kids are nice and clean. Besides that, we also don't need a big fee because entering the RPTRA is totally free," said Nadia, one of the regular visitors at RPTRA Bhinneka.

Furthermore, Nadia stated that another reason for her regular visit was because RPTRA has a lot of plants to create a nice atmosphere and air so that it is conducive for children to play.
