"I love to eat, is that a crime?" - Dewey Finn from School of Rock. Well said and I definitely agree. Eating is pleasure slash guilty pleasure. Either than the taste, food and cuisine is about aesthetics too. Presentation is also the key. Having been in Antananarivo for over a week, I've come to the conclusion that the taste here is based on French cuisine. Madagascar itself was colonized by France so no surprise there. And as they said, French cuisine is one of the best in the world both in taste and in presentation. Honestly, I've never tasted genuine French cuisine but hopefully I've come close here in Antananarivo. Overall, I personally like the taste. I guess being Asian does help because we're already used to extreme spices. On the whole, the taste of French cuisine is just right, not bland nor too sharp. In addition, here I get to dig into lots and lots of cheese. Plenty of types to choose from too. I have to say, I think I'm currently in western culinary heaven. I just wish we had more quality Asian food. Ahh humans, never fully satisfied I suppose hehe. Here's a snippet of French cuisine: Fish with cream sauce and mash potatoes. - Villa Vanille -
