Science Without Logic, Logic Without Science: The Dead End Of Civilization
In an increasingly complex world, people are often faced with big questions: what is right, what is wrong, and how do we arrive at these answers? In answering these questions, the two most important pillars, science and logic, become irreplaceable guides. But what happens when the two do not go hand in hand? Science without logic or logic without science not only obscures the truth, but also leads civilization to a dead end.
Science is our means of understanding the universe. It is a collection of knowledge that arises from observation, experimentation and systematic analysis. Without logic, however, science becomes a fragmented collection of facts, without direction or meaning. One example of this is the stream of digital information that floods our lives today. We have access to billions of pieces of data, but without the logic to filter, connect and understand them, they become useless noise.
On the contrary, logic without science often leads to dogma. Logic that is not based on scientific facts tends to develop arguments based on empty assumptions or subjective beliefs. We see this in many conspiracy theories that sound plausible on the surface but fall apart when confronted with scientific evidence. Logic divorced from science creates the illusion of truth while actually distancing us from reality.
