Indonesian need visa to enter several countries including China, compare to other countries, China may be the easiest country in granting visa for Indonesian, or maybe for other nationalities as well.

As mentioned in the tittle, I'm going to post about how to get China visa. The post is based on my previous experience when I apply visa for visiting my friend in Yinchuan.

China use third party to manage visa application, since I reside in Jakarta so I apply at China Visa Center Jakarta which located at second floor The East Building Mega Kuningan.

Documents required to apply China visa is including of course number one is Passport, and then KTP (Indonesian National ID card), Kartu Keluarga (Family Card), recent photograph with white background, printed out flight ticket, hotel reservation or in my case is an invitation letter from family or friend from China since my visit is to attend my friend's wedding. Both hotel reservation or invitation have to mentioned your name.

Make sure that all documents bear exactly a same name and birth date. However my KTP and passport are bear a different birth date due to some typo during KTP making process some years ago. So the visa center ask me to bring an additional document from Kelurahan which mentioned that my KTP and my Passport are belong to the same person.

The Visa center located at second floor, from the lobby we can take stairs, the stairs will bring you directly to the front of the visa center. You need to turn off of all your device such as mobile phone, tablet or laptop. The security officer will check it before you enter the security gate. Then ask for queuing number from receptionist, the queuing number will be different according to your purpose whether it is to apply or collection. They will ask you to choose express service or normal, express will only take 1 day while the normal one will be around 4 days processing. Once you get your number you can wait at the designated chair. When the officer call you, submit all of the documents and they will exchange with a receipt.

I take the normal process one so after 4 days I returned to the center to collect, again the process is recurring, turned off all of the devices then take queuing number, but this time is different, we need to ask for collection queuing number. After get the number, they will call you according to number, then we need to hand over the receipt paper together with visa fee, for normal process it cost Rp 540.000.
