There are several ways to get the benefits of oatmeal by using a facial mask, one of which is a mixture of oatmeal and honey:

Ingredients:

  • Rolled Oatmeal (1/2 cup): Choose rolled oatmeal for a smoother texture in the mask.
  • Pure Honey (1 tablespoon): Honey will provide extra moisture and antibacterial properties.
  • Unsweetened Yogurt (2 tablespoons): Yogurt provides a moisturizing and refreshing effect on the skin.
  • Ripe Banana (1/2 fruit): Banana helps disguise blemishes and provides additional nutrition.

How to make:

  • Grind Oatmeal:

Grind the oatmeal into a fine powder using a blender or coffee grinder.

  • Mix All Ingredients:

Mix ground oatmeal, honey, yoghurt and banana in a clean bowl. Stir well until it becomes a thick paste.

  • Apply on Face:

Make sure your face is clean. Apply this oatmeal mask evenly, avoiding the area around the eyes.

  • Gentle Massage:

With your fingertips, gently massage the mask into your facial skin. A gentle massage will increase blood circulation and help the ingredients penetrate into the skin.

  • Leave For 15-20 Minutes:

Let the mask work for 15-20 minutes. While waiting, enjoy your moment of relaxation.

  • Rinse with Warm Water:

Once the mask dries, rinse your face with warm water. Use light circular movements to help further exfoliate.

  • Dry and Moisturize:

Dry your face by gently patting it with a clean towel. Follow by applying your favorite moisturizer to provide extra moisture.

We can use different mixtures with the same usage steps such as:

  • Oatmeal and Yoghurt Mask
    • Mix two tablespoons of oatmeal with two tablespoons of natural yoghurt.
    • Add one tablespoon of honey and mix well.
    • Apply on face and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing.
  • Oatmeal and Banana Mask
    • Mash half a banana and mix with two tablespoons of oatmeal.
    • Add a little milk to form a thick paste.
    • Apply to face and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing.
  • Tips for Using Oatmeal Masks
    • Make sure to clean your face before using the oatmeal mask.
    • Use this mask regularly, ideally one to two times a week, for optimal results.
    • Do not let the mask dry completely on the face. Rinse with warm water when the mask starts to dry.
    • Perform a patch test before first use to ensure there is no allergic reaction.
    • Adjust the consistency of the mask according to your preference by adding less water or more oatmeal.
    • For oilier skin, you can add a few drops of lemon juice for extra cleansing effect.
