According to the country's 2010 labor force survey found that gender wage differences remained significant and pervasive in Indonesia. Â The data shows that female workers monthly real wages were 30.8% lower than those of male workers, with the wage gap slightly wider (31.5%) in urban centers than in rural areas (29.9%). But nowadays, women in Indonesia are become aware in the bargain of their wages. Also, the government itself has made several laws include UU RI Â no. 13 year 2003 clause 86 to protect its citizen wage and freed the workers from wage discrimination including gender-based inequality on work.Â

Where the equality of getting jobs despites of their religion believes is needed, many of muslim woman in Indonesia are still facing trouble to get a job because of their decision to wear hijab or veils. Feminism appears to eliminate those boundaries by promoting the people free-choice to express their-self  and  it shouldn't  be preventing them to achieve the same opportunity as the other applicants have.Â

Involving men in the conversation of feminism in Indonesia has grown since 2014, especially after the president President Joko Widodo has become one of the Head of States for personally champion gender equality (IMPACT Champions) and launch a nationwide HeForShe campaign. Followed in December 2015 when Four Indonesian Governors: Frans Lebu Raya (Governor of East Nusa Tenggara), I Made Mangku Pastika ( Governor of Bali), Soekarwo (Governor of East Java), and Hadi Prabowo (Governor of Central Kalimantan) signed a HeForShe pledge  in Kupang City,  and stated their commitment to promote, fulfill and protect women and children's rights. The actions made the justification on how important the gender equality is in Indonesia, and the role of men is highly needed to support the gender equality as long as feminism.
In conclusion, the modern concept and act of feminism in the latest era is not only women-centered. Instead, the feminist need their partner to cooperate and to respect each other to pursue the same opportunity. This movement is also impacts Indonesia in a way spreading awareness of gap opportunities that Indonesian women are facing in several condition such as education, domestic abuse, wage inequity, and muslim women discrimination. Finally, referring to the past action of Indonesia's president and governors, we can say that the modern concept of embracing women's right through man has become a widespread and growing movement in Indonesia.
