English as a foreign language in Indonesia is still designated as one of the compulsory subjects in schools at all levels, starting from kindergarten, elementary Elementary School, junior high school, and senior high school. high school) and at the higher education level (college or university). I've been learning English since third grade in elementary school.I became interested in learning English because I think it is an interesting and cool language. In addition, we are also trained to learn grammar, writing, reading, dictation, and to end with an English oral exam as a graduation requirement. Therefore, there are some things that are missed when learning English and some experiences in learning English that are lost.

From elementary school to attending lectures, I am quite satisfied with my English learning.I focus on learning English in lectures. English should be focused on four aspects: speaking, writing, listening, and reading. These four items become useful in every English lesson.In my opinion, the education that I got in lectures already covered these 4 things, but to be honest, I'm not satisfied yet with the grammar courses because we only focused on examples without detailed explanations. I really, really regret the method of learning English in the aspect of grammar where students are only focused on making examples. In my opinion, learning English is focused on practice, so that students can study and practice directly without any doubts and practice self-confidence, and I admit that learning English at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University is very effective.

In conclusion, each method will be different if the English teacher is not familiar with the concept of teaching. Lastly, in my opinion, for someone who is still a beginner in English it would be nice to learn basic vocabulary starting from nouns, adjectives, verbs and so on. After learning the pronunciation, hone in on making sentences from the vocabulary we learn. Gradually, students will understand English. Remember that students are invited to enjoy English and to make English a fun lesson.Students should practice speaking English even if they stutter because the environment greatly influences the development of student learning. As a teacher, it is your responsibility to guide students and not to blame them when they mispronounce words.Practicing speaking English is the right choice to develop English skills.
