Dieng Cultural Festival

Of the many festivals in Indonesia, one of which is in great demand by many people, namely the Dieng Cultural Festival. The Dieng area, Central Java is known as an area with relatively cold air. This festival is the brainchild of the Dieng Pandawa Tourism Awareness Group which was establisheed in 2010. This group seeks to combine the concept of culture and natural tourism vehicles with the mission of empowering the Dieng people's economy and aims to promote tourism around Dieng.

In the Dieng Cultural Festival there is a tradition that is an important part of this
festival, namely the dreadlocks ritual. This tradition attracts the attention of the general public, especially people who are outsite the Dieng area. Over time, this unique tradition was also held as a cultural performance.

In addition to the dreadllocks ritual, the Dieng Cultural Festival event is also filled with other events such as Jazz above the clouds, Dieng Film Festival, Lantern Festival, Dranking Purwaceng Together, Dieng Cultural Festival Camping, Dreadlocks Ballet, Healthy and Green Walk, Expo, and so on. Of the various existing events, the event most awaited by the visitors was the detention of thousands of lanterns.

Lanterns will be flown to a height of 100-200 meters. Although flown in large
quantities, these lanterns will not cause any loss. Usually the flight of these lanterns startes from 20.30 to 21.30 at night, accompanied by a very beautiful and lively fireworks party.
