Teras Belajar MIPA 2024 merupakan sebuah bentuk kontribusi dan kebermanfaatan nyata untuk pendidikan Indonesia dimulai dari lingkungan sekitar Universitas Indonesia. Program kerja Teras Belajar MIPA 2024 relevan dan sejalan dengan dengan Sustainable Development Goals indikator 4.1, yaitu menjamin bahwa semua anak perempuan dan laki-laki menyelesaikan pendidikan dasar dan menengah tanpa dipungut biaya, setara, dan berkualitas yang mengarah pada capaian pembelajaran relevan dan efektif.

In the context of community service, education often becomes one of the main pillars in efforts to shape a brighter civilization. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia, through its Teras Belajar MIPA 2024 program, presents a remarkable initiative that synergizes the spirit of service and education.

The Teras Belajar program is rooted in the principle of the "Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi," particularly the third point, which mandates service to the community. Through this program, FMIPA UI students proactively contributes to the education of underprivileged children, such as those from the Indonesian Orphanage.

With the profound theme, "Building Hope, Achieving Dreams," the program carries a philosophy of hope and dreams. "Hope" in this context represents the aspirations that the students aim to achieve—a depiction of the goals they strive for through all their efforts. Teras Belajar MIPA 2024 serves as a bridge to bring these dreams to life, providing education that is not only formal but also meaningful and interactive.

One of the core values emphasized by Teras Belajar MIPA 2024 is the experimental approach. In this program, students are invited to engage in learning activities that stimulate critical thinking through various experiments. This approach not only strengthens theoretical aspects but also encourages them to understand cause and effect in daily life. It shows that education is not merely about memorization but a dynamic process aimed at cultivating deep understanding.

The main agenda of this program is the Saturday Teaching activity, which is conducted regularly every week. In a 45-minute session, students are guided through interactive learning sessions. Afterward, they are given reflection assignments to assess their understanding of the material taught. Beyond academic learning, the program also offers informal classes discussing aspects of personal development, morality, and ethics, which are crucial elements in character building.

Additionally, the Teras Belajar MIPA 2024 program creates opportunities for students to develop their non-academic talents through the Teras Belajar Talent Search (TEMBAK). This program provides children the chance to express their talents, both individually and in groups, fostering a balance between academic growth and personal skills.

Equally important, Teras Belajar MIPA 2024 emphasizes the importance of collaboration and solidarity among academic staff through capacity-building and training activities called Upgrading. The teachers are equipped with appropriate teaching concepts and are required to develop the interpersonal skills needed for interaction with students.

In conclusion, Teras Belajar MIPA 2024 is a tangible manifestation of intellectual concern aimed at creating positive change in society. With the spirit of service, this program is expected to serve as a beacon for the younger generation to realize their hopes and dreams and contribute to building a better nation.
