One by one well dressed men and women came around and stood around in a circle. Came to Julia's surprise, she knew most of them. She staring at them one by one in bewilderment.
"Congratulation Julia, our manager of the year!!!!" They were giving a standing ovation.
"Alan, what is this and who are you?" I begged an explanation to Alan.
"I'm sorry, Julia. I didn't mean to scare you but I guess this is the way our company to give you a surprise, our hardworking and loyal employee. My name Alan, Stefan's brother. He is in overseas now and unable to honour you in person so I'm here on his behalf!"
"Geeezzzz...Fuck!!! OOooppp!!! Thank you!"
Then, Julia realised she didn't give a nice resphond that she should be for her promotion but it was no body fault when everybody were laughing and treating her compliment as a joke. It was something everyone knew that she didn't quite have a sense of humor.
