Rendang is the most famous cuisine from Minang’s people (West Sumatra). People outside assume that Rendang is the name of the cuisine, but actually, Rendang for Minang’s people means a method to cook. So, Rendang is the name of the method to cook, not the name of the cuisine. The people who are not from Minang always misunderstood with this concept. So, Rendang is not always beef although people outside only knew the Rendang’s beef. Here, there are many form of Rendang, such as Rendang’s egg, Rendang’s chicken and Rendang’s duck. I love Rendang, whatever its form. But, my favorite Rendang is Rendang’s beef because beef can absorb the flavor perfectly if we compare it with egg, chiscken or duck. For now, I will show you  4 kinds of Rendang. You will not find all kinds outside West Sumatra (Spesifically Bukittinggi) because mostly people only sell Rendang’s beef or Rendang’s chicken. And the others usually only made in home (My mom usually make Rendang’s egg). So, I can say the Rendang’s egg or duck is an exclusive cuisine, if you want it, you should have  come to Bukittinggi. Okay, here we go : 1.Rendang’s Beef Indonesian already knew about this wonderful cuisine. Even CNN has ranked this cuisine as the No.1 World’s Most Delicious Food in 2011. Actually, there are 2 kinds of Rendang’s beef, the wet Rendang’s beef and the dry Rendang’s beef. Both is different in terms of its appearance. The wet, mostly gravy and the color is brown. Look at the photo. And the dry, is not gravy, and the color is mostly black and dark. It is because of the time-cooking is longer than the wet one, and the gravy is absorbed by the beef completely, it make the dry one is more tasty. Look at the photo.
