However, he didn't want to give up; therefore, he kept on trying and trying. At the end, he finally got what he wanted, and he was super thrilled. He was very satisfied with the result. He believed that makeup could be a mask so that he could hide his feeling inside.
Alexander never revealed that he got into makeup. It hurt him that he couldn't tell people who he really was because he knew that his society would not accept him as the true Alexander. He always knew that makeup was made for girls and boys should do their own things; but for him that was totally unfair. Both genders should be equally treated.
After turning 17, he was finally ready to reveal the real Alexander. On his birthday, he posted his first ever YouTube video. When the video was released, he felt very anxious and he had lots of negative thoughts on his minds.
One morning, the sun shined brightly; it was a beautiful Monday morning. "Alexander, your breakfast is ready, come downstairs!" shouted Mrs. Wlliams. Mrs. Williams had prepared a delicious breakfast for the whole family: fluffy and hot pancakes along with some bacons and baked beans, Alexander's favorite. He quickly finished his breakfast and headed straight to school.
As soon as he arrived at school, he went straight to the science lab, ready to start his first lesson of the week. The bell rang, meaning it was time for recess. On his way to the cafeteria, a few of his classmates, Jaden and Phil, stopped him right away. "I'm heading to the cafeteria, you guys coming?"Alex asked.
They grabbed him and pulled him to the 'safe place' as the liked to call it. Alexander was terrified, his heart was pumping so fast. All of a sudden, they showed his YouTube video that Alexander posted the day before. He was shocked and confused; how did they find it so quickly? All of his thoughts meant nothing anymore.
That was the moment when his whole life flashed so quickly in front of him. They were going to make his video viral. No turning back now, he thought. Even if he deleted it, they already downloaded it. The video got viral at his school thanks to Jaden and Phil. He was so embarrassed that he even thought of committing suicide.
He lost his appetite and his grades went down rapidly. He had lost his interest in almost everything. The last year of high school was hell for Alexander. Every time he went to school, it would only remind him of how unlucky he was. No one wanted to even be close to him because everyone thought he was different.
His mom eventually found out about the situation. He didn't attend college or university like most of his friends. "You're a grown up now, you have to believe in yourself. Don't let the fear of striking stop you from playing the game." Mrs. Williams kept encouraging Alexander, when she finally realized that her son was going through a difficult situation all this time.
Finally, he was ready to keep making content for YouTube. His dad was against it at first, but his mom talked him through and now his family are fully supportive.
He went back to his favorite thinking spot, which is the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge. He sat there for hours thinking of how blessed he is today. He is now an international makeup artist and has worked with outstanding international celebrities. He looked back at his painful high school days as a lesson for him to learn and to grow even stronger.
