Time never stops. We are living in the world along with the time. There are many people in the world. They spend the hours they have in a day with various activities. They live their life doing ordinary daily activities. Some people think the hours they spend in their daily life is just enjoying, while the other, who put no heart on it, think the contrary-life is indeed useless. Just like the main characters in The Hour, a novel written by Michael Cunningham.
The life of the three characters in the novel are related to each other. But, none seems to own a wonderful life. Virginia commited suicide, Laura left their family, and Mrs Dalloway lost her bestfriend. Everyone supposes to live their life happily, but why are these characters seems to live in misery?
Apart from the problems people face in their life, life is indeed full of choices. No matter how heavy burdens put in our shoulder we still can choose to be happy. Because to be alive, it is a bless. The three characters should have this kind of moral values so their life will be more than a grief.
Although Virginia suffered a terrible illness, she still have a caring husband. Laura is lucky because she too, have a perfect family. It is a perfect life, much better than the life of the poor. But still Virginia and Laura run away from their life like such a coward. Mrs Dalloway is a little bit better because at least she still live her life.
The Hour do reflects the way people live in reality. Many people think the same way as the main characters in the novel. However, people shouldn't do something like that. It will be better to just say grace and face problem wholeheartedly. Then life will be wonderfull.
