Very First Trophy of Mine

I have a memorable story of my childhood. One Sunday, I woke up earlier than usual and right away went to the shower. Then I dressed up as fair as I could in a yellow skirt and white vintage blouse. At that time, I was frightened of my own shadow, for it was my very first abacus competition. My mother and father went to the venue by car with me just to keep me company. When we arrived, I did not expect that it was an amusement park they rented for the competition event. I went directly to the hall, the place where the competition  was held, and  looked for my prepared seat. I worked the paper very carefully and made sure that all of the answers were correct. After all, I felt confident with my work. While I was waiting for the judges to correct the participant’s works, I got a kick out of some rides and games. 

After waiting for an hour, they finally announced the winner. My parents and I were so nervous. But unluckily, they did not call my name at all when they announced the third and second place. Before they announced who the first winner was, my dad asked me to get home because he thought that I would not make it. I cried and begged him to wait just for a little longer. And surprisingly, they precisely called my name as the winner of the abacus competition. I was so happy and my parents were very proud of me. I went home with my very first trophy in my hands and a pleased feeling. 

From that day, I have assigned that it is my most  memorable childhood memory. Yet I work even harder and harder than before for my improvement, in view of the fact that I've never feel enough with my attaintment.
