After the success of the Program Kompetisi Kampus Merdeka (PKKM) in a series of Emancipated learning in 2021, this year the English Language Education Department of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (PBI UMY) is ready to welcome the program in 2022. This also confirms PBI UMY as one of the study programs at UMY that won PKKM funding for two consecutive years.
According to one of the persons in charge of this program who is also a lecturer at PBI UMY, Arifah Mardiningrum, M.A., this year PBI UMY offers a new concept and is fresher than the previous year. If in the previous year there were educational internships, exchanges, and internships in the field of business and industry, this time PBI UMY opened two opportunities, namely the internship program in the business and industry field (DUDI) and Business Incubation (INBIS). As for students who take part in the DUDI internship program, seven PBI UMY companies take part to give the place for them  to learn more about the work process of the business world and industry. Meanwhile, in the INBIS program, PBI UMY students will be trained by two PBI UMY partners as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for their own business start-up that focuses on Education, Technology, and Entrepreneur (Edutechpreneur). After going through a long process from the beginning of socialization at the end of July 2022, 45 PBI UMY students were selected to take part in this opportunity,  37 students for the DUDI internship and 8 students for INBIS program.
