Not a few social problems are caused by the existence of a very patriarchal system. In Indonesia, this system has been passed down from generation to generation, one of the female figures who fought against this system was R.A. Kartini. Her struggle in fighting for women's rights should not be taken lightly.

A person's view of patriarchy depends on the person's childhood in their environment, for example from their parents and family. The mindset that parents cultivate towards their children is like the following sentence "boys must be protectors, breadwinners, heads of the family" and "girls must be housewives, can cook, can wash, take care of themselves" then what grows Within themselves they will be limited by these sentences and they tend to limit themselves to the duties of each gender.

In the world of work, women are also awry, many women who become leaders don't like it more than male leaders. Female leaders who are assertive are called bossy, female leaders who have targets or achieve positions are called crazy with ambition, while men who have the same abilities or do the same things are considered ideal leaders and this creates a negative correlation towards women compared to men. Usually the impact is violence and sexual harassment

In Indonesia there are still many who run a patriarchal system, such as Javanese customs, for example, in Javanese customs women are the ones who have to bear the domestic burdens in the household such as cooking, washing, cleaning, etc. Besides that, many women who live in remote areas bury their dreams because they are taught that women must take care of the household even though they have the desire to get out of that zone and have higher potential than men, because they are in a shell of power. owned by men.

In my opinion, men and women have their respective roles. All levels of society must know that women cannot always be the police for the many discrepancies that occur, therefore, the role of men is really needed here. Sometimes we don't realize that we are also patriarchal, a woman can say that another woman is smarter and sometimes we also have the mindset "you don't need to be smart because the escape is only to the kitchen". From here we learn not to lower other people's status and fight against systems that harm one party.
