The Trend of Spirit Doll

Recently, many artists show their spirit doll, few of them claim the spirit doll is a part of family. What is spirit doll? “Spirit Dolls are dolls which act as vessels for beings of powerful spirits who can be petitioned for a wide-variety of purposes. These spirits can be the spirits of the dead, familiar-spirits, Divine-beings, a spirit-of-divination, and even spiritual entities which have never had an earthly incarnation”.     Spirit Dolls can be made out of virtually any material such as cloth, paper, plastic, wood, etc… and come in an array of shapes and sizes. In Indonesia, Spirit Dolls is using appearance like a doll for kids; no wonder some of them have pairs of cloth for dolls. When other people want to touch or handle it, their reaction just like it is ‘special’ which have to handle it with care and love. They treat the doll like a family, they really love it.

    However, collecting dolls is okay but treat it as family can cause mental damage. According from UNAIR it is abnormal and if it not stop can cause unstable mental (including emotion, temper, sense, ETC.). According Prof. Nurul, Because of mental condition, doll can be a tool for refreshing mind as long as it is under control of psychology and psychiatrist. Although it is a tool for health, the doll is a unloving being.

    When the doll is treated more than normal, we suggested finding out why. If a person find out in this situation, it must be stopped immediately to not stick in this situation which is unhealthy for mental. According from UNAIR, he suggested to ask first why (the person) do that. If (the person) think the doll is alive then we must give advice to him/her that what they have done is quite worrying.
