Factors of Plagiarism in Writing

According to Antara News, Anggito Abimanyu , a Director General of Hajj and Umrah Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia ever got a plagiarism case. He was accused by a writer with name acount "Penulis UGM" in Kompasiana rubric on the Kompas.com. He told that most of opinion in Anggito's writing titled "Gagasan Asuransi Bencana" plagiarised Hotbonar Sinaga's writing titled "Menggagas Asuransi Bencana" that was released at Kompas in July, 2006.

Plagiarism is a practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own. Plagiarism is included in crime. Plagiarism can be found in many object. One of the object is in writing. Lack of knowledge, not creative, and laziness are the factors of the writer do plagiarism in writing.

The first factors why the writer do plagiarism is lack of knowledge. Lack of knowledge is one of the biggest factor to do plagiarism in writing. Writing needs many inspiration. Moreover, inspiration itself comes from how many you get knowledge. The writer should broaden their horizons and read more. If the writer do both of those things, it will help the writer to get more inspiration and ready to write amazing text.

The next factor is not creative. Writer's creativity will affect their writing. Creativity will give the writer many diction that the writer can choose which is the word that should be in writer's writing. If the writer have a lot of diction, they will not be confused to express their thoughts in words. Moreover, it will decrease the writer's intention to do plagiarism.

The last factor that cause the writer do plagiarism is laziness. Laziness can be the factor of plagiarism in writing. According to Wikipedia, laziness is disinclination to activity or exertion despite having the ability to act or to exert oneself. If the writer feels lazy to think, it would tend to make the writer to do plagiarism. Laziness can be caused by mood of the writer. If the writer is on the bad condition, it will make the writer feel lazy and don't want to write or even do anything. Laziness is a characteristic that can obstruct your productivity. Therefore, the writer should overcome the laziness if it comes to the writer.

In conclusion, there's must to be cause or factor why the writer choose to do plagiarism. There are lack of knowledge, not creative, and laziness can be factors the writer do plagiarism. If you want to be a great writer, the writer have to avoid those factors by read a lot of book, and remember the goal  to write something. Therefore, the goal can be a motivation if sometimes laziness comes to the writer while the writer write something.
