Fina Azizah Dantika. Lahir di Sumedang, tanggal 16 Desember 1997,merupakan anak ketiga dari orangtua yang luar biasa hebat. Tsanawiyyah/MTS Al-Furqon Tahun 2010, Madrasah Aliyah Swasta/MAS Darussalam Tahun 2013, Kuliah S-1 di STAI PERSIS BANDUNG Jurusan PAI, Lulus Tahun 2022 dan sekarang kuliah S-2 di Prasarjana Manajemen Pendidikan Islam Pascasarjana UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung masuk melalui Jalur Mandiri. Motivasi masuk ke S2 MPI UIN SGD : Ingin mengembangkan ilmu dalam dunia pendidikan dan menunjang cita-cita yang diharapkan sebagai Dosen Pendidikan.

The Intelligence of a Leader in Creating an Excellent School

An institution has a single leader who can serve as guide in the implementation of education. This research aims to understand the implementation of leadership and it's relationship to the intelligence possessed by a leader within an institution. The research method used is qualitative, with a case study approach employed to collect data through observations and interviews with the principal and staff. The results of the study indicate that in practice, a leader with good intelligence is indeed needed, although there are some issues present. Sometimes, the conditions and busyness can cause a leader to become confused in determining the direction of the institution, making their intelligence the key to effctive leadership. 

A person's leadership style is influenced by the resources within it, one of which is the intelligence of it's human resources. Intelligence will address problems or questions that are important for the development of life and the company. The problems and questions that arise are challenges for achieving the company's goals. 

Achievements will naturally be preceded by improving the performance of intelligent individuals within the organization, including in their leadership style (Kartono : 2008). The leadership style used in this study is the situational leadership style. Situational leadership style is a leadership model that focuses on followers, who are the employees within a company. In this study, the researcher focuses on school management where the recruitment of workers pays little attention to intellectual intelligence (IQ), emotional intelligence (EQ), And spiritual intelligence (SQ), and the situational leadership style of a manager. 

The Yayasan Teknologi Sarana Utama (YTSU) is a foundation engaged in the field of education. Established in 2016, it oversees one elementary school (SD), two junior high schools (SMP), one senior high school (SMA), and one vocational high school (SMK). The foundation was founded by Mr. Juliansyah, MM, a bussiness management graduate who was inspired to establish a school known for it's excellent service and management. He leads one PIC (Person in Charge) and five principals. 

The relationship between a leader's intelligence  and the creation of an excellent school. In his leadership implementation, he enforces a disciplined and orderly administrative system for all principals, staff, and teachers. 

according to Mr. Asep, the PIC, Mr. Juliansyah placez a strong emphasis on supporting his subordinates to progress or advance. However, some of his methods are often not well-received by his subordinates, perhaps because those he leads are younger than him." 

Wiwin Sawinah, the principal of the elementary school, stated, "what he is doing is part of process. In this process, the elementary school he leads has become one of the pioneering and internationally-oriented schools. In the G Buah Batu zone, this elementary school can serves as and example and a driving force for a nearby schools in implementing the Merdeka curriculum." 

Several teachers interviewed stated that "Mr. Juliansyah Sometimes expresses his desires without considering the actual conditions on the ground. if there is a problem, he immediately takes action himself. However, the solutions he provides are not always solutions for others." From the statement above, it is evident that the leader in the institution is far from perfect, even though this ultimately becomes an issue for his subordinates. The leader's top down approach is seen as a solution that benefits others. Despite the problems that arise, the school can still excel in it's surrondings. 

A person's leadership styles is influenced by the resources within it, one of which is the intelligence of it's human resources. Intelligence addresses important problems or questions for the development of life, companies, institutions, or organizations. A leader in an institution or organization must have balanced intelligence, although they will inevitably face some problems.
