WMK UMS 2023 Prototype Pitching Presents Independent Entrepreneural Ideas

Surakarta, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) as the Organizing University of Independent Student Entrepreneurship in 2023, carried out Piching activities. "Piching" is a process in which a person or team presents an idea or business proposal to investors, potential partners, or a panel of judges with the aim of getting support, investment, or feedback. In the WMK UMS 2023 Prototype Piching, participants presented their product prototypes or innovative ideas to the WMK UMS 2023 program manager to help with business plans to obtain the funds needed by the participating teams.

The participants were asked to write a business proposal which was prepared with the help of the Field Supervisor and the partner where the student did the internship. This business proposal is then presented to reviewers to test its business feasibility and then the manager will revise the proposal. In this Prototype Piching Activity, participants presented several things, including the type of business, products or services that would be offered, and also proposed Budget Plans (RAB) for Running The Business.

The 2023 UMS WMK selection was carried out by 8 managers and DPL who were assessors for each group. The groups making the presentation were randomized so that the DPL did not assess the group they were teaching. In this assessment, they were accompanied by an admin who served as timekeeper and prepared some of the equipment needed.

The assessment carried out in this Piching Activity is not carried out haphazardly by the reviewers, there are several criteria for assessing participant products. This Piching activity was carried out as a training event for WMK 2023 participants to offer cooperation with investors. (Rani Fitriana)
