Bekasi - Many elementary to high school schools in Bekasi City have conducted 100 percent face-to-face learning (PTM) since April 4, 2022.
Even though the PTM 100 percent has been in effect since two months ago, every school still has to maintain the Health protocol for students and teachers.
SMPN 8 Bekasi is one of the schools in Bekasi that has conducted 100 percent face-to-face learning. Even now, SMPN 8 Bekasi is holding a class meeting after taking the exam.
"I just finished my semester exams, and since Monday (13/06/22), there have been class meetings. There are also many Competitions, ranging from futsal, basketball, and badminton," said Citra, one of the 8th-grade students, on Tuesday (14/06/22).
The class meeting itself is a routine schedule of SMPN 8 Bekasi, which aims to bring out all the talents and interests of students in specific fields, such as sports. Each class must participate in one or more competitions as a class representative.
The existence of class meetings made students at SMPN 8 Bekasi enthusiastic, considering that for the last two years, the school had never held class meetings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I'm pleased, and coincidentally this is my first time attending a class meeting. Even though the rest of my friends can't play, they can be supporters to support their classmates," she added.
SMPN 8 Bekasi also supports this activity by giving some money and trophies to the winners in each competition so that students can participate in this series of activities.
"This class meeting is held annually, making the students very enthusiastic. Of course, later there will be prizes for the class that wins the competition. Perhaps students who win can use the money to buy class needs," said Pak Edi, a sports teacher.
