The D4 English for Business Communication and Professional program at UPN 'Veteran' East Java has gained significant popularity among students from all over Indonesia, with a high number of applicants in 2024. Despite being a new program, it has already garnered a large following, demonstrating its effectiveness and relevance. Which is one of the paths to the success of this English study program for business and professional communication.
In admitting new students this requires steady preparation. But before that, the department conducted a promotion that was carried out in several regions throughout East Java to introduce to the public about the existence of this English department for business communication and professional. Not only that, after the acceptance of the achievement path ended, the lecturers and the university also conducted promotions again in several areas that had not been visited such as Trenggalek and Bali.Â
Although this study program has a high demand, but unfortunately, the available quota is limited and even this study program is the most restrictive among other study programs at the university. "This is something to be proud of and worried about" said the head of this study program. The head of the program expressed both pride and concern, which shows their genuine investment in it is success.  Â
The lecturers of this department are certainly happy to know that this study program has many enthusiasts. Previously, admission was only available through the independent path, but this year it has been expanded to include achievement, written (test), and independent paths. This decisive action will undoubtedly increase interest in the program.
To prepare for new students joining the program, all previously accepted students are involved in the process. The department is also increasing facilities and human resources to improve the program. So that in the future it will become a much better study program.

This program does not only focus on academics or on the theory that exists in the courses of this program. But it is also balanced by direct practice on several matters that are still related to the English language study program for business and professional communication. For example, table manners practice in one of the courses that goes into the professional / hotel world to train students in terms of attitude and behavior.Â
The lecturers collaborate to develop and train students in this study program, aiming to produce graduates with the knowledge, experience, and ability to face the future. "To enhance the human resources of students in this study program, practitioners from outside the campus are invited to teach relevant courses. This provides students with direct access to experienced professionals and helps them filter information effectively. So that they can filter information and hear directly from those who are experienced or engaged in the field of the course." said the head of this study program.
