Di facebook ada fan page “Think progress” yang selalu membagikan tautan-tautan yang mengkritisi pemerintahan Obama dan juga tautan kontroversial. Misalnya seperti berita-berita tentang perkembangan LGBT (lesbian, gay, biseks&transgender). Perlu pembaca ketahui tentang kawin sesama jenis/gay Marriage, ada beberapa negara di dunia ini yang telah memfasilitasi pekawinan sesama jenis, contoh: Denmark (negara pertama di dunia yg bolehkan perkawinan sesama jenis pd th 1989), Belanda (2001), Kanada (2003), Belgia (2003), Spanyol (2005), Afsel,(1) Norwegia (2009), Swedia (2010), Portugal (2010), Argentina (negara pertama yg melegalkan perkawinan gay th 2010), Islandia (2010), dan Amerika (beberapa negara bagian saja).(2)Termasuk kabar Uruguay yang baru-baru ini melegalkan kawin sesama Jenis.(3)
Kemarin malam, saya iseng-iseng mengomentari tautan berjudul “What Actually Happened To That Same-Sex Couple In The Missouri Hospital”(4) Dengan komentar nggak nyambung dengan isi tautan itu. “Animal better than gay. because gay is abnormal.” Sontak banyak yang menanggapi dengan nada sinis, cercaan, hinaan “idiot” bahkan tudingan saya berlindung di balik dalil agama. Tapi saya santai saja menghadapi orang-orang Amerika yang pikirannya abnormal itu.
Di Amerika dukungan terhadap kawin sesama jenis seringkali bukan atas pertimbangan rasional, sains maupun dalil agama. Kebanyakan karena 2 hal: politis dan kedekatan emosional. Dukungan bermotif politis pernah dinyatakan Obama (5) maupun Hillary clinton.(6) Sedangkan dukungan secara emosional maksudnya dikarenakan keluarga dekatnya ada yang berperilaku menyimpang sehingga membuat seseorang yang awalnya menolak terhadap legalisasi kawin sesama jenis berubah pikiran menjadi mendukung. Contohnya, Senator Partai Republik asal Ohio, Rob Portman, berganti haluan dari pendirian awalnya yang menolak pernikahan sesama jenis. Dia kini mengatakan dirinya mendukung pernikahan pasangan homoseksual setelah anaknya mengakui sebagai seorang homoseksual.(7)
Kembali kepada warga AS yang mencerca saya. Berikut ini komentar para follower fan page “Think progress” yang rata-rata mendukung gay dengan alasan kemanusiaan dan tentu saja bukan argumen rasional baik secara sains dan dalil agama.

Saking gemesnya saya tambahkan komen dengan bahasa inggris ala kadarnya karena sudah ngantuk berat. Bahwa tidak ada hewan yang melakukan kawin sesama jenis. (8) “you need to know, no animal do same-sex marriage in the world.” Saya pun terpaksa manggil bala bantuan, seorang teman dari Sidney yang paham soal topik LGBT. Fàdh Aldrîch:”Husain Fikri H, tolong tambahono komentarmu, ben para pembela/maniak gay iki sadar.” (9) Akan tetapi bala bantuan baru tiba pukul 5 pagi. Komentar pedas pun masih terus saja bergulir.
-Christine Robinett: How is threatening Fadh or implying violence in any way helping? Either you ARE in support of non-violent equality FOR ALL or you're part of the problem so many of the posters claim to dislike.

It's up to those with a critical mind to CHOOSE to do better for our common good. -Justin R Copenhaver: Fadh, there is no marriage in the animal kingdom so I guess you are correct. But, you didn't show the point that you were trying to. -Gayle Horwitz: Fadh, the only thing that separates us from the animals is the ability to reason and use language, and given that, some of us are better at THAT than others. Being part of the animal kingdom we are just as diverse, and some human beings have different orientations BY GOD'S DESIGN and THAT is OKAY. Homosexuality is "abnormal" or un-natural to YOU and as "normal" and right as rain to others. Please take your bigotry and profound lack of understanding of human sexuality elsewhere.
Ada juga yang merespon dengan dalil-dalil teologis. Dan kesannya “menurut penafsiran saya”. Padahal tidak sembarang orang boleh menafsirkan ayat-ayat dalam Bibel. Jaimie Vaughan menafsirkan Bibel menurut seleranya padahal Bibel sendiri memandang homoseksual/gay sebagai perbuatan menjijikkan. (10)

Are there "degrees" of abomination? 7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God, if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here? 8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die? 9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football, if I wear gloves? 10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14). I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I'm confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

It is a personal opinion of a (used to be) Rabbi, Nathaniel. Second, I believed "animal is better than gay" is a metaphor describing the moral value of same-sex marriage. Though I ain't saying gay is animal, I would go along this guy, Fàdh. You never know how devastating it is once you allow same-sex relationship stand still. Come on, people, It is part of New World Order Plan to destroy humanity value.”
Semoga ini jadi bahan renungan kita bersama bahwa masih banyak di di luar sana yang tidak mengerti bahaya kawin sesama jenis yang sejatinya mengundang penyakit berbahaya (12) dan juga mengingkari rahmat/nikmat yang diberikan oleh Tuhan. Ijinkan saya menutup tulisan sederhana ini dengan firman Allah SWT:
“Dan di antara tanda-tanda kekuasaan-Nya ialah Dia menciptakan untukmu istri-istri dari jenismu sendiri, supaya kamu cenderung dan merasa tenteram kepadanya, dan dijadikan-Nya di antaramu rasa kasih dan sayang. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat tanda-tanda bagi kaum yang berpikir.” (Qs. ar-ruum:21)
