Why Should We Use Renewable Energy?

The change to use renewable energy must have a big impact on society. The impact is relatively better on society. Renewable energy is cheaper right now. The prices to the generator for the renewable energy from wind and solar drops significantly. By making renewable energy a common good, it creates new jobs. Transitioning to renewable energy requires more jobs in the energy industries. Since renewable energy is cheaper, it creates a system that is not vulnerable to market shock and improves durability on energy supplies.

After knowing the renewable energy, we must know its contrary, the non-renewable energy coming from fossil fuel. Fossil fuels are fuels that are coming from the fossilsed plants and animals that are buried under the earth’s crust. Today fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas are the common source of today’s energy. The reason is because fossil fuels are affordable, capable of producing large amounts of energy from one location, easily found, easy to transport, cost effective, etc. 

In conclusion, today we are still using fossil fuels as our energy source because of its reliability such as being capable of producing large amounts of energy from one location, easily found, easy to transport, cost effective, etc. But we must know that fossil fuels cause a major impact on our environment which is climate change. Fossil fuels produce greenhouse gas emission that traps the sunlight heat leading to climate change. To avoid the major impact of climate change, we need to reduce  greenhouse gas emission. The solution is to transition to renewable energy. Renewable energy is derived from the abundant sources of energy making it sustainable. Renewable energy generator prices are decreasing significantly. Renewable energy produces much less carbon emission making it better for the environment. Those are the reasons to use renewable energy.
