Verb forms indicate the time an action occurs. Simple present is a form of verb. We use the simple present tense for repetitive actions. Repetitive actions occur over and over again.
For example:
* I have breakfast every day. I read in bed every night.
* I always study after school.
The simple present verb has two forms. What form do we use? It depends on the subject of the sentence. The subject can be a pronoun. The subject can also be a noun. We use a basic verb if the subject pronoun is I, you, we, or they.
Example :
* I walk to school every day. You always drink coffee.
* We sometimes eat dessert.
* They study every night.
We use verb + s if the subject pronoun is he, she, or it.
Example :
* He reads the newspaper on weekends.
* She takes the bus to work in the morning.
* It sleeps on the sofa every day.
* We use a stem verb when the subject noun is plural.
* The students walks to school every day
* My parents drink coffee every morning.
We use verb + s when the subject noun is singular.
Example :
* The student take the bus to school .
* My dog always sleeps in my bed.
We also use verb + s when the subject noun is not a count.
Example:
* Snow falls from the sky in winter.
* My hair grows quickly.
