The writer's LamentÂ
A poem by Enda HeriskaÂ
See how the writer, perched in solemn care,
With pen in hand and furrowed brow laid bare.
The blank page mocks his efforts to create,
While fleeting muses tease, then dissipate.
The ink, once bold, grows faint with each new line,
As doubts arise to dim his thoughts divine.Sources: Pinterest

And silent walls seem heavy with the air.
Yet still he labors, bound by unseen chains,
To craft a verse that beauty's height attains.
Though failure lurks, his spirit will not yield,
A soldier armed, though lost upon the field.
Thus shall he toil, until his task is done,
Through darkest nights and glimpses of the sun.
For in his heart, a dream of triumph burns,
And hope, though faint, with every stroke returns.
