Can Higher Education, Science and Technology Indonesia be successful?
Prof. Hendry Izaac Elim

After the celebration of an international scientist standard with over 3000 citations in SCOPUS at Pattimura university in 2024, we try to flash back as well as look for the better future of Indonesia higher education system, science and technology.
According to Indonesia physicists data extracted from SCOPUS, a reputable journals index, one obtain that there are only about 8 Indonesia physicists with Scopus citation over 3000 citation as shown in the following figure (the link data in this Research Gate URL).
Based on the above-mentioned data, it is tough for Indonesia scientists especially top rank physicists to achieve an international high quality standard of a scientist with citations in SCOPUS above 3000 citations.
Such evaluation means that a reformed action and plan of the current Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology must be carried out wisely.
Based on the current country mission and dream to attain Gold Indonesia 2045 or about 21 years more, it is necessary for the newly elected minister helped by two vice ministers to speed up the improvement of scientists quality of the nation.
