COVID-19 cases have increased dramatically in Singapore and Malaysia. This increase in covid occurred six months after WHO announced the end of the pandemic period for the past 3 years. In the period 19 to 25 November, the number of covid cases doubled to 22,094 cases. After research, it turned out that of these cases as many as 70 percent of covid cases in Singapore were Omicron EG.5 and KH.3 subvariants. In this variant, there are no symptoms such as loss of smell and taste, but there are other symptoms such as throat pain, coughing, tightness, and slimy nose. Apart from Singapore, the increase in the number of covid cases also occurred in Malaysia with an increase of 57 percent. According to MOH the Ministry of Health, this spike is likely due to the entry of the holiday season, and low public immunity is also one of the contributing factors.
