It seems endless when we discuss the conflict that occurred between Palestine and Israel. Various media, both electronic and printed, have never stopped conveying the developments of this endless conflict. This humanitarian conflict has long been attracting the attention of the general public. How could it not be, the war that has occurred for years has left a lot of suffering for Palestinians. Many of them lost relatives and family, homes, property and others. As has been widely reported, the war in this neighboring country began with the struggle for territory by each side. Reporting from Kompas.com quoted via Fox explained that each party wants to establish a country on the same land. This contested area is a geographical area that lies between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River. But if you look at the map, this area is labeled Israel. Meanwhile, the Palestinians feel that they own the territory. There is the city of Jerusalem which is considered sacred by Palestinian Arabs. This conflict is spreading and getting more complicated due to the emergence of various new problems such as unclear boundaries and the cruelty of the Israeli army who forcibly evicted the Palestinians from their homes.

The Indonesian people did not escape this conflict. Among Indonesian netizens, this conflict has become an inevitable conversation. So that the pros and cons arise. We can clearly see that the majority of Indonesian citizens support the Palestinian side. Various popular hashtags on social media, both Twitter and Instagram, have voiced the #SavePalestina and #saveAlAqsa movements. Of course this is not without cause. Indonesia itself is a country where the majority of the people are Muslim. From this there arises a sense of brotherhood seeing fellow Muslims who are struggling to defend the holy land for Muslims. Although we need to remember again that this conflict is not actually a religious conflict. But the atrocities of the Israeli army caused indignation for the Indonesian people.

The conflict that occurred certainly had an impact on other countries, especially neighboring countries. How not, every conflict and war that occurs will give both physical and non-physical damage. Several countries are also divided into supporters of each side. Muslim countries like Indonesia, which I mentioned earlier, are part of the support for Palestine.

Palestine itself has an important role in Indonesian history. Palestine is one of the first countries to recognize Indonesian independence. Therefore, it would be outrageous if we as Indonesian citizens did nothing when we saw that our brothers and sisters in Palestine were in trouble and suffering. According to the leader of the Al Mizan Islamic Boarding School, Majalengka, as well as a member of Commission VIII DPR, KH Maman Imanulhaq, stated that Indonesia strongly condemns the brutality committed by Israeli Zionists towards Palestine.

In resolving the problems between Israel and Palestine, various countries must take part in bringing about this peace. I myself see that the roles of the various parties will more or less have an effect. Countries can join forces in resolving this humanitarian conflict. But in this case I see that the first thing that must be resolved is to stop the Zionist Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian population. The cruel methods they use have violated the essence of humanity. Therefore, I want the authorities to at least establish rules so that the Israelis do not use cruel methods that endanger the Palestinian population, especially women and children.
